Your Data is Being Relocated to the new RPMSCloud2.com Server
We are relocating the data for your RPMSCloud server from rpmscloud.com to rpmscloud2.com at the date and time in the subject line of this email.
There are a few steps you’ll need to accomplish on your end, before and after the move.
BEFORE THE MOVE
- Do you want to preserve your screen and report settings? If so, then sometime before the move, please log in to your current RPMSCloud account, then navigate to File, then Preferences. From the Preferences form, choose the third tab, labeled Other Preferences & Utilities.

Click the button that says Backup Screen Settings. This will save your screen settings to a file in your data set, which we will pick up and move to the new cloud location, along with all the rest of your company data. See a demonstration video of this process here: https://vimeo.com/806039039/857a739ab5
- When you are finished using RPMS for the final time before your data is to be moved, we recommend that you delete the icon that you use to launch the RPMSCloud, since it is set to point at the old location. If you accidentally use it again after the move, you will get an error message saying that your data has been moved.
AFTER THE MOVE
- You will receive an email from RPMS, reminding you of your network username and password. You will need those again to run the link to rpmscloud2.com the first time. After that, you’ll be able to save and reuse your network credentials, if your local security policy permits it. We do not change your internal RPMS password.
- Within that same email, you will also find instructions to download and install the new RPMSCloud2 link on a Windows computer. This installs a digitally signed RDP file to your system and places a shortcut to it on your desktop. If you use a Mac or Chromebook, then you should simply create a new desktop in your Remote software – the address for this one will be rpmscloud2.com. Links to instructions for currently recommended Mac and Chromebook remote software will also be in that email.
- When you log in for the first time on the new RPMSCloud2, if you previously saved your screen settings (see BEFORE THE MOVE item #1 above) then you should navigate to File, Preferences, and on the third tab click Restore Screen Settings.
If you have any questions about the process, or for some reason the date or time of the move can’t work for you, please write to tech@rpms.com, or call 1-800-776-7435 and press 1 to leave a message for a call back.
